Trinity Church is a diverse group of ordinary people with a passion to enjoy Christ together and make Him known to others. We are a church plant from Immanuel Church Dublin and will be starting Sunday gatherings in Autumn 2026.

In 2023 a small group of us gathered to pray for Cherrywood and explore the possibility of a new church to serve Cherrywood and the wider Dublin 18 area. We were excited about the possibility of seeing a healthy local expression of Christ’s new community, the church, established to serve the needs of this diverse and fast growing new community in South Dublin.

Since December 2024 we’ve been organising events to serve the local communities in Cherrywood. We’ve had great joy planning open air Carol Services, Easter Egg Hunts and other activities to help people to connect with one another and foster a deeper sense of community in our area.

In October 2025 a small group of us started meeting weekly in a home to share food, pray and learn from the Bible together. We’ve been so encouraged to watch this small group become a diverse community of people who love spending time together, supporting one another and enjoying Jesus together.

We’re looking forward to officially launching Sunday gatherings in Autumn 2026. We are praying that Trinity Church will be a place where the convinced, the unconvinced and the curious will feel welcome and able to connect deeply with God and with one another.

We are always delighted to have new people join us at any point along our journey…

Our Story

Our Leadership

Minister | Simon Donohoe

Simon is a Dubliner by birth and a native of South Dublin (even though his accent doesn’t quite sound like it!). He is married to Abigail and they have five children. He is an ordained Anglican minister and passionate about seeing people become disciples of Christ, grow in Christ, and be equipped and sent out to serve Christ.

He is the Pioneer Minister at Immanuel Church Dublin which is the mother church of our little baby church here in Cherrywood.
